MR. F. C. WILLIAMS Many Gisborne residents, particularly among those associated with the sport of bowls, will regret to learn of the death in Napier this morning of Mr. Frederick Charles Williams, a brother of Mr. Dougal Williams, of Ngatapa, Poverty Bay. Deceased was well known here in connection with the bowling tournaments, lie having been on many occasions a member of visiting Napier rinks. His health had been failing gradually of late, but his death came with unexpected suddenness. The late- Mr. Williams was a keen sportsman, taking an active part, in racing control, as a member of the Napier Park' Club, while he had affiliations with many other forms of sport in the community. He gave valuable service to his town as a member of many local bodies at various times, and always held a great affection for Napier, where lie was born and where he spent the whole of his life. He was the eldest son of Mrs. Nat. Williams, of Napier, and was beyond middle age. His widow and family of one son and three daughters will receive much sympathy, as will also his relatives in Hawke’s Bay and Poverty Bay.
