HANGAROA RIDING
PROPOSAL TO DIVIDE Tlifs proposal to divide the present Hangaroa riding of Cook ('ounty into two separate ridings, whirl) lias come before the council on various occasions during the past year, was again under discussion to-day, when Cr. M. T. B. Hall moved, in accordance with notice of motion given, that the council by special order divide llie riding into two, according to a [dan which he submitted. The motion was seconded by Cr. E. H. Baker, who, with Cr. Hail, represents the present riding on the council, and. the only subject oil which any discussion ensued was the naming of the two l new ridings. It was unanimously decided to append the names Tiuiroto and To Aroha. to the respective areas, the motion then being carried unaiiiinouslv.
