PURCHASE FOR THE STATE
HISTORIC RUNNYMEDE (British Official Wireless.) Rec. 10 a.m. RUGBY, Sept. 20. Historic Runnimede, where the great charter of English property was signed by King John in 1215, is to .become a national possession. A project is on foot' for acquiring the property, which lies between Staines and Windsor, and handing it over to a national trust to preserve for the public.
