Speaking at the annual meeting of the Wellington Cricket Club Mr. M. F. Luclde said that his connection with the club dated back 45 years. A pleasing programme was submitted at the concert staged by the Band of Hope at the Church of Christ, Roebuck road, last evening, when, despite the inclement weather, there was a fair attendance, the president, Mr. Vickery, being in the chair. The programme comprised vocal solos by Miss L. Trowell, and Mrs Hamilton; piano solos hy Miss R. Grundy; violin solos by Mr. IL Allott, and recitations by Master Fred Halliwell, Miss Joan Mcllor, and Miss Joan Barker, while an interesting temperance address was delivered by Mr. Milner.
