DEATH OF A PASTOR BODY TIED TO BELL (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) (Received Sept. 20, 10 a.m.) BERLIN, Sept. 19. A fortnight ago Pastor Schwartz, of the Church at Wolfenbutter, disappeared. The country was scoured in vain, and eventually the mystery was abandoned. Every day for a fortnight the old bell-ringer rung the bell as a call to prayers, but failed to notice anything unusual until this morning, when the pastor’s hat dropped at his feet, lie looked up and saw the pastor’s body banging against the clapper and swinging with the, bell.
