AIR RACE OVER LAND LONDON, Sept, 9. The French airman, M. f.leriot, the cross-Channel flier, describing the Schneider Trophy race in the Daily Mail announces that lie was so impressed with the* flight, that lie lias decided to ‘present an international trophy for competition for aeroplanes over land, when the spectators will gam a much greater impression of the speed. He predicts that passenger planes will lie travelling at speeds of between 590 and 400 m.p.h. in 10 years time.
