Rusher, Sutton, McKeague (s) 18. KAHUTIA CLUB The following (games qwere played on the Kahutia Bowling Club’s green yesterday afternoon, in beautiful weather, and on a keen green: McKenzie, H. Martin, S. Wootton, J. J. Martin (s) 19, v. Jelinek, Chamberlain, Pollock, Sawyer (s) 19. Spence, Fischbach, Roderick (s) 19 v. Langford, Town, Eothwell (s) 17. B. Taylor and W. Smith (s) 21 defeated J. O. Jones and Dudfield (s) 24. At the monthly meeting of the committee, it was decided to officially open the 1929-30 season on Thursday, October 10. Sub committees were appointed to make necessary arrangements. A challenge from the Cosmopolitan Club for a euchre tournament on Wednesday evening next was accepted, the function t-o take place in the Carroll Memorial pavilion.
