RUSSIA AND CHINA AGREEMENT DRAWN UP iAustralian and N.Z. Press Association.) MOSCOW, August 31. The Soviet Government has agreed to the Chinese Government’s proposal to sign a joint declaration settling their disputes. The text of the agreement states that both parties agree to settle all pending questions in conformity with the agreement of 1924, especially as regards the redemption of the Chinese Eastern railway.. The Soviet Government is reappointing the manager thereof. Both parties will immediately release all those arrested since May 1, 1929.
