BERNARD SHAW’S ADVICE LONDON, August 6. “By its neglect of window-dressing, the Baldwin Government contrived to convey an impression of childishness and ignorance, which resulted in its being completely discredited at the election,” Mr. Bernard Shaw told the Independent Labor Party Conference, in Hertfordshire. “The Conservatives,” he added, “had quite a respectable programme and a good show of legislation, hut nobody I knew or cared anything about thenmeasures. The Communist party is still dreaming and talking revolutionary rubbish. While the Communists accept Russian money, and continually conflict With the commonsense of the community, they will continue to lose their election deposits.”
