REGULAR SERVICE IMPERIAL AIRWAYS’ SCHEME (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) (Received August 3 p.m.) LON DUX, A ugust 14. The Daily Express states that Imperial Airways’ scheme for a regular air service between London and the Cape is now complete and merely awaits the result of the negotiations with tho Governments of the countries over which the planes will pass. The service, which is of 8000 miles, is tho longest in the world. There will be a weekly trip in each direction. The journey will occupy nine days, ai*d the planes will follow the England to India route as far as Egypt, where they will turn southward along the Nile for a considerable distance. Flying boats will be used for the Mediterranean and also on part of the African section, making four changes of machines.
