BOOKMAKING ALLEGED

ARRESTS IN TIMARTJ (Per Press Association.) TIMAEU, last night. As the result of a police" raid this afternoon, William Alexander O'Connor, barman, appeared at the Magistrate's Court charged with carrying on the business of a bookmaker. He was also charged with using the bar in a public hotel as a common gaming house. John Vuleta, was charged with using premises in High street as a common gaming house and was also charged with carrying on the business of a bookmaker. Accused pleaded not guilty and ori the application of the police a remand till Saturday was granted, bail being allowed in each case.
