SECOND TEST MATCH WIN FOR NEW ZEALAND (.Per Prees Association.) AUCKLAND, last night. In spite of showery weather about 4000 gathered on Saturday to witness the final appearance of the Australian hockey team before its departure from the Domonion, the match being a test between New Zealand and Australia. Large parts of the ground were covered with slush, which became worse as play proceeded and, as a display of the game, the match was disappointing. New Zealand won by two goals to nil, thus retaining the Manning Cup, which it has held since it was first awarded in 1923. Eric Watts scored as a result of a line solo effort in the first spell, and Anthony scored the second goal with a sharp shot in the second spell.
