FIRE AT BULLS
INCENDIARISM SUSPECTED (Per Press Association.) MAKTON, this day. Shortly before 5 o’clock this morning, a tire was discovered in two places, the front and the rear, of premises occupied by Mr. V. Edhouse, draper, of Bulls. The brigade, with a chemical engine, suppressed the outbreak, but not before considerable damage had been done. The stock suffered greatly from smoke and water. Later it was found that a wooden rear tlcor had been broken. There is strong evidence of incendiarism. Mr. Fdhouse is at present in Christchurch, and estimates of the damage and particulars of the insurance are not available.
