FIRES
CHRISTCHURCH BLAZE /Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, last night, Another fire occurred in the city tonight, At 3 o’clock the brigade was called to the stables of F. Truscott, saddler, at the corner of Lichfield and Durham streets.’ The cause of the fire is not explained, but there have been no suspicions circumstances yet brought to light. Little damage was done as the brigade was on the scene before the fire gathered strength.
SMALL HOUSE GUTTED INCENDIARISM SUSPECTED (Per Press Association.) BLENHEIM, last night. A four-roomed cottage _ owned by the Atkinson estate, 'which was the scene of an outbreak of fire on July’24, was discovered again to be on firo and was badly gutted. There are strong indications of incendiarism. DWELLING DESTROYED (Per Press Association.) BLENHEIM, last night. The eight-roomed - house of Alfred Rore at Wairau Pa was destroyed by fire, - There was no, fire-fight,ing equipment available, and-the flames made .a clean sweep. The origin- of, the- fire is unknown. The house was insured for £450 and the furniture and effects, for £l5O in the Northern office.-
