A Remarkable Watch
An Englishman, John Harwood, is credited by experts in the watchmaking trade with having effected a marked advance in the manufacture of watches. It is stated that he has recently invented a non-stop, self-winding watch, which marks the third great epoch in watch construction, the first being the key-winding watch of our forefathers, and the second the stem-winding watch of to-day. The watch is wholly enclosed in a dust and damp-proof case, having no aperture whatsoever where dust may penetrate. The secret of its perpetual motion is said to be very simI’lp. It is the natural movements of flic person wearing it If this watch is regularly worn, according to the experts, it will keep going year in and year out. Tf removed from the per son it will function correctly for 30 hours, and will resume its eternal tick immediately it is restored to the wrist.
