Tasmania’s Hydro Scheme Tasmania, which claims to produce the cheapest electric power in the Commonwealth, has made a great success of its hydro schemes, which after paying all working costs last year returned £15,000 to the Treasury. The revenue amounted to £288,000, being an increase of £25,000 on the previous year.
