AMANULLAH DEFEATED BACHA’S POWER INCREASES (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) DELHI, May 11. Amanullah’s forces were again defeated in an effort to reach Kabul. His supporter, Nadir Kalin, with a small force, attempted to reach the capital and might have succeeded but for the treachery of officers who sold the battle plan to the enemy, and he was hopelessly defeated. Baeha Saquao is now proclaimed Afghanistan’s strong man and is attracting tribal support, and, if lie succeeds in securing the allegiance of the Shinwaris, he will be iu supreme power.
