THEFT OF CATTLE

* TWO MEN CHARGED (Per Press Association.) BLENHEIM, this day. At the Magistrate’s Court, Ray Hebherd and Reginald Stuart- Forbes were charged with stealing five steers, the property of Bryaii Greensill, a farmer of Kenepuru Sound. The cattle allegedly were sold to a slock dealer and subsequently 1 raced to a Picton butcher. The defence waijn complete denial of the sale of the entile. The magistrate remarked that the evidence was not very strong, but the accused would lie committed for trial, hail being allowed each accused in the sum of £2OO, with one surety for a like amount.
