LONDON SHEEPSKINS SALE Messrs. Daigety and Co.. Ltd., have received the following cable from their fiend, office, dated 2.lst inst: — “At: the London sheepskins sale the demand was fair, 3480 bales being offered, of which 2779 were sold. Crossbred combing was 5 per eem lower; do. clothing, unchanged to 5 per cent lower; merino clothing, unchanged to 5 per cent, lower; lambs, unchanged; merino combing, f> per cent, lower to 25 per cent. more. American and home buyers were the principal operators.”

MATAWHERO stock sale There was an (M)lry of 12,220 store sheep at t.hn Muiawhero sale yesterday. Bidding v.iis good throughout, and prices generally showed a distinct advance over I hose oi recent. sales. Ihe top price for ewes was El 10s for a good pen of 2 and 4 tooths, Pens of 4, 6. and (j-t!i ewes made El 5s 6d. and £l. ss. A, pen of guaranteed 5 year ewes, with great size and. condition, and running with Southdown rams, made El 6s, and another pen of the same age £1 3s 6d. Well-grown strong skinned 2 tooth ewes passed at El 4s 6(1. Medium 2 tooth ewes sold at El Os 2d, and small at 17s. Found mouth ewes in fairly good order ; ran from los 9d to 16s.

Lambs wore a. heavy entry, and in* eluded many good pens. A pen of woolly lambs with great size and condition made 18s 2d, and another great pen passed at 17s 9d. P.ig good-conditioned woollies made 15s 6(1 and 16s 6d. tShorn lambs, with size and condition, made 17s 8d and 17s 6d, and good shorn 14s to 15s. Many medium lambs from the damaged maize crops were yarded, and these were all in keen demand. Four-tooth wethers in good condition sold at El 7s 6d, and a pen of good skinned forward wethers made £1 7s lOd. Several pens of wethers sold from El 5s to El 6s, and a pen of good size and condition, but late shorn, wethers, made. El 5s 3d.
