Hoard with regard to the kcow Zingara, which lies stranded and abandoned al the entrance (o the Hukitika River, is fully protected, according to local information. The Zingara was sold bv the board to Messrs. Chas. McArthur and Sons, of Wellington, who arc interested 'ii metal supplies for building and other purposes. The purchasers took the
vessel over under an agreement that left £,IOOO of the purchase price in suspense, and the loss of the vessel recently caused the board to assure itself of the protection of its interests. One of the conditions of sale such as the Zingara's would bo the insurance of the vessel for a sum that would, cover the debt to the vender.
