NEW AFGHAN MENACE
SOVIET ULTIMATUM APOLOGY AND COMPENSATION (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) LONDON, Feb. 8. A report has reached London that the Soviet lias sent an ultimatum to Ha hi hull ah Khan, known as Bacli ft Saquao, the new Amir of Afghanistan, demanding an apology ami compensation for the ill-treatment of Russian nationals at Kabul, especially the ten aviators lent to the ex-Amir, A man ul la'h. Failing a satisfactory reply, the Soviet reserves its liberty of action.
