CONTRACT BRIDGE
INTEREST IN LONDON (Australian and N.Z. Tress Association.) (Received Feb. 1, 3 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 31. The Portland Club has sent the chief card-playing clubs in the West End a provisional set of laws for contract bridge in order to test the game, and for comment thereon. 'l'lio provisional laws are simply a graft of American methods of contract scoring to auction bridge, necessarily using majority instead of value in calling.
