The course for the Schneider Cup race over the Solent will he quadrilateral, instead of triangular, as hitherto, in order to reduce the difficulty in taking the sharp-turns at high speeds. TESTING BRITAIN'S PLANES AT SIX MILES A MINUTE LONDON, Jan. 23. Squardon-Lender A. 11. Orlelmr, who is jo command Britain's high-speed flight team in defence of .the Schneider trophy, has had vast living experience. The three planes in which the team are already practising at Felixstowe, were built for the 1927 race, and, despite the bail weather, they have been (lying regularly at 2.10 miles an hour.

The entire section will be transferred to (’alshol early in the spring, to enable the testing at up to 390 miles nu liouf of the machines which arc being built for this year’s race.
