(LONDON, Dec. 8 Not since ‘the middle of the war have the British lifeboats had such a busy November ns has been experienced this year. In November, 1916, there were 71 launches of lifeboats. In November, 1928, there were 64. and of that number no fewer than 53 were during the last 17 days of the month. Hast month 97 lives were saved, an average of over 21 lives for each week and three lives for every" day of the month. The largest number of fives saved in one month was in February, when 100 lives were saved. November ranks second.
