Whilst ]istoners-in were, enjoying a recital of dinner music from the Sydney station 2FO last evening, above the sound of the music could bo heard the shriek of syrens, and presently the announcer explained that a tire was in progress in the city, and that Hie sounds heard were the syrens of engines leaving the fire station near the studio for the scene of the conflagration.
