Glenstar tried to win all the way, but nearing the turn Flying Juliet, Predice and Royal Boulton were handy, Prodice winning a good race by a neck from Royal Doulton, with Hyde Park half a length away, third, and Flying Juliet and Glenstar next. It was a truly run race, and no ill-luck stopped anything, but Hvde Park may have won had his rider used him more in the middle stages. He finished very strongly.
