TOLAGA BAY SCHOOL
RAIN MARS PICNIC (He raid Cor re spo tide n t.) Yesterday morning a gaily-dressed party set out from the Tolaga .Bay school for the annual picnic,. The departure, in lorries supplied by residents, was supervised by Mr. S. M. Kemp, the headmaster. The picnic was held in a large field at Takapau, loaned by Mr. G. McNeil, and, despite the doubtful appearance of the weal her, both parents and children entered whole-heartedly into the festivities. Games were played in the morning, and in tlie afternoon the sports events wore commenced.' However, owing to the heavy rain which set in about 2 o’clock the programme was not completed.
