WHEAT CARGOES (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) (Received Dec. 15, 2 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 14. In sympathy with American cable messages, there is an improved inquiry for cargoes, which arc firm, and mostly advanced 3d. .Parcels are in fair demand at an anvance of from 3d to fid. Liverpool futures: December 9/OUI, March 9/28, May 9/3, July 9/41. In accordance with a cable message, received from their Loudon office under date of December 14, Dalgety and Co. advise:—“At the sheepskin sales 5775 bales were offered and 4196 bales sold. As compared with the closing rates of last series, good merino combing skins were 5 per cent, higher; inferior merind combing skins 2J,- per cent. higher; medino clothing skins, comebacks and fine crossbred skins, 5 per cent, to 7s per cent, higher; medium crossbred skins 6 per cent, higher; low quality crossbred skins are neglected and mostly withdrawn; lambs’ skins i’jully 5 per cent, higher. Following is a range of prices realised -. Merino, three-quarter to full-woolled 14d to I6d, one-quarter lo half-xvoollcd 10(1 to short and shorn 8d to lOd; crossbred, three-quar-ter to full-woolled 14d to medium and coarse lid to 15d, one-quarter to half-xvoollcd, fine 11(1 to IS-jd, medium and coarse 9jd to 13d, short and shorn Bid to 13d; lambs, lljd lo 16<d.” THE SHAREMARKET (Per Press Association.)
