FRANCE CONSIDERS MERGER (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.' PARIS, Nov. 21. Officials of the Radio France and French cable 'companies admit negotiating with a view to a merger similar to that of Britain, but an agreement has not yet been, reached. The Radio France controls radio communication with Britain, Austria, Spain, Rumania, Norway and Czecho Slovakia. The CaHe Co. controls tlie ex-German cable to Now York, which was awarded to France under the treaty of Versailles.
