LIVERPOOL HONORS COLUMBUS

LIVERPOOL, Oct. 15. 'Christopher Columbus, as a promoter of Liverpool's prosperity, was honored here oh Friday. Consuls representing 21 Governments of North and South America, accompanied Miss Margaret Heaven, Lady Mayoress of Liverpool, to the Columbus statue in Soft on Park, where Miss Heaven deposited a wreath. The idea of the ceremony, originated with the Chilean consul when he noticed thul the statue bore this inscription:."Columbus, the Maker of Liverpool.
