BILLIARDS
INMAN V. FEED LINDRUM (Australian Press Assn.—United Service.) (Received November 20. 3 p.m.) LONDON, November 19. Inmari (receives 2CCO) has scored 28fc5, making breaks of 111 and 106, against Fred Lindrum (in play) 1499. Lindrum made breaks of 210 twice, 128 and 108. Fred Lindrum is a brother of Walter Lindrum. who is now in New Zealand. Lindrum, on his first appearance at the- billiard table, created a favorable, impression. Inman was hopelessly outclassed in to-day's play, scoring l 855. against Lindrum's 1498. Critics note that Lindrum plays the top of the table game in the approved English style/. Nevertheless, his breaks would nave been higher on several occasions had Mie adopted the in-ofl' game. His desire to create a favorable impression, was obvious from the outset, though it often proved bis undoing. He tried to scQje faster than Inman, and, although he succeeded, most of his breakdowns came from ridiculously easy strokes. Tonight the unfortunate loss oi the white drove him to the red ball, with which he made the limit, 75.
