"CINDERELLA"

ENTERTAINMENT AT OEMOND The old-time fairy story of ''Cinderella" was presented ill the Ormond Halt before a large audience, the entertainment faking the form of an operetta.

The opening- .scene depicted a village square, in which children were playing when Oindcrella'.s two sisters entered and looked with scornful amusement at the antics of the youngsters. Then appeared the minstrels, upon whom the sisters smiled sweetly. They were followed 1 by the King's herald, who read a proclamation announcing, among other things, a, great stag hunt and a grand ball. Several humorous sketches were introduced at this stage, and then followed a pretty scene, in which the fairy queen atid her dainty attendants performed a graceful dance. The queen then transformed a huge pumpkin into a lovely carriage, drawn by six white ponies. Cinderella was then transformed into a beautiful princess and sent forth to the ball. Item succeeded item until th" iinal scene was presented, and Cinderella was married to her Prince amidst great excitement and happiness. The various pails wore ably sustained, and the perfm mors are to be congratulated on their line work. The doeor.ative .schemes were carried out hv Mrs. Revel and Mr. Scott, to whom the greatest credit was due. The work of Mr. Bennett, and Miss U lluiil. who supplied the .■icenmpnuiments. also was appreciated. I he more important parts were played In Ihe f«il low im< : Kinst. Lh-v. IT Scot I : Queen.
