SYDNEY DIVORCE SUIT SYDNEY, Oct. 10. . The case in which George Henry Jackson sought a divorce on the ground of his wife’s alleged misconduct with Gerald Ballantyne atAMina raid Cheviot, New Zealand, ended yesterday after a fortnight’s hearing in the dismissal of the petition. “GEE, DEAR!” WAS THERE KISSING? SYDNEY, Oct. 2. Further evidence was head to-day, befgoro the Judge in Divorce, Mr. Justice Owen, in the Jackson contested suit. George Henry Jackson, an importer, who has been married four times, is alleging against his young wife, Jinny Jackson (formerly Irwin), misconduct with Gerald Ballantyne, farmer and grazier, of Mina, New Zealand. Both the respondent and the corespondent deny the misconduct alleged. against them. Louis John Solomon, a private detective, of Sydney, said that he was employed by Jackson to visit New Zealand to watch his wife and the co-respondent, Ballantyne. “I was paid £8 a week and ex-pensesv-mbont £IOO altogether.” Solomon said that he had watched Mrs. Jackson and Ballantyne at the house of Dr. Irwin, a sister of Mrs. Jackson. Dr. Irwin lived at Cheviot," a town iii New Zealand. He had seen Mrs. Jackson and Ballantyne on the golf links together, and elsewhere. He had heard Mrs. Jackson call Ballanctyne, “Gee, dear! ” and he had seen them kiss.
Anthony Jackson, a son of the petitioner, said he had seen Ballantyne and Mrs. Jackson leave Dr. Irwin’s house at Cheviot in a motor car and go to the golf links, where they had a game. “I’ve seen them kissing,” added witness.
