MOTORING OFFENCES NEW FRENCH DECREE (Elec. Tel. Copyright—. United Press Assn.) (Australian Press'Assn.—United Service.] (Received October 11, 11 a.m.) PARIS, October 10. A decree has been issued .authorising road police to collect on the spot motoring lines ranging from 12s to 245. An offender signs an acknowledgment of his conviction. The regulations provide for ordinary prosecution where other than pecuniary punishment is in volved, or damages, or in cases where the offender has been previously convicted of a similar offence. Otherwise the culprit lias the choice of a tine on the spot or a. court hearing.
