BANKRUPT SIX WEEKS
AND APPLIES FOR DISCHARGE (Per Press Association.) HAMILTON, Inst night. An important bankruptcy case came before Dir. Justice Blair in the Supreme Court when George Cornfoot, who till recently was a part owner of a large run in' Hawke’s Bay, applied for his discharge in bankruptcy. His liabilities were £28,093, and his assets were small. The Assignee, .Mr. J. 11. Robertson, Opposed the discharge, and said he had just received a telegram from Mr. Coulter. n sheepfavmey ■ ’ in. Blenheim, ft creditor for over £BOOO, that lie (Mr. Uoi(lter) had received no notification in tft.l3 connection. His Honor asked bankrupt's counsel what was the reason for the hurry. Coynt'ppt was adjudicated bankrupt only six weeks ago,. Counsel . said there woro private reasons for haste. His Honor adjourned the application till the'August sessions.
