MURDERED HIS WIFE
FARMER TO HANG (Received July 25, 11 a.m.j ADELAIDE, July 25. Johann Thiele has been convicted for the murder of his May 16, and sentenced to death. Mrs. Friedrich Thiele, 35, was ioiyul dead on May 16 with a portion of her bead blown away. There was no gun nearby, and her husband, a farmer, was absent when the discovery was made by a farm laborer. Subsequently Thh/.e, a wealthy farmer, was ■ arrested on a charge of murdering his wife. When the polwe visited the house they found evidence of a ferritic struggle. Ihe furniture was smashed and the walls blood-stained in several rooms showing how desperately the woman fought for her life.
