JAPANESE WARSHIPS

ARRIVAL AT WELLINGTON (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Japanese warships, idzurno and Vakinno, which arrived to-day, can boast longer service than Chase of any other navy. Both were in action in the, Russo-Japanese war of 1904-5, and both were employed in the Great- War. The squadron is commanded by Vice; Admiral Seizo Kohyaslii. Prince Takamatsu, who is serving as a sub-lieutenant on the Idzumo, is the younger brother of the Emperor oi Japan. The two vessels carry about 16CQ officers and men. The squadron, which is on a lengthy cruise of the Pacific, will sail 'for Auckland on Saturday.
