OLYMPIC TEAM TO TALK TO AUSTRALIA Arangcmcnts have been completed through the intermediary of Philips Lamps (N.Z.) Ltd., and through their short-wave experimental station PC.TJ situated at Hilversum, so that members of the Australian and New Zealand teams may talk to Australia and Now Zealand by radio. It is suggested that local broadcasting stations receoive the short wave transmissions direct and icbrondcast it ...hi their normal wave length. It has now been decided thai members of the team will talk for one hour on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 25'. A regular trans mission for Australia is put on '.the air from the Continent from PC.TJ every Saturday afternoon between the hours of 2 and 5 p.m. and it has been found that reception varies according to atmospherical and seasonal conditions. The wave-length of PCJJ is :U.4 metres.
