same as last week in number, but ewer; were fewer, as also were, wethers. Forward lambs and wethers sold at an advance, as did young ewes, but lowconditioned sorts were unchanged. Extra good halfbred ewe lambs made to 32s Bd, ordinary halfbred ewe lambs 26k 6d io 28s, good three-quarter bred ewe lambs 27s 9d to 29s 3d: aged ewes 15s to 15s 6d; good 2-th 'halfbred wethers to 33s 6<l, good 4. 6 and 8-th halfbred wethers 30s to 32s 6d, ordinary 4, 6 and 8 th halfbred wethers 27s 6d to 29s 6d, backward 4, 6 and 8-th halfbred wethers to 24s 6d.

Fat lambs: 2750 were penned, and there was a keen safe for all classes. All good skinned lambs sojd particularly well, a, pen of 10 Corriedale, bought for show purposes, making 53s 4d. Good store cows made £2 10s to £5 10s, others 25s to £2 ss; bulls £3 to £3; 4-yr steers to :£lO 12s fidDairy cattle: :Only a few good sorts came forward, and they sold at good prices. Medium sorts- were satisfactory. Extra good second to fourth calvers made to £lB, good sorts £lO to, £l4 10s, medium £7 I.os to £9'los, inferior £5 to £7; heifers £7 to- £11'; springing calvers £2 10s to £3 10s.

Fat pigs: There was an' irregular market, with prices a shade easier. Choppers made £2 to £5 17s 6d; baconers £2 15s to £4 8s 6d; extra heavy baconers to £5 2s 6d—average price per lb. 5J,d to 6|d: porkers 32s to 52s— average per lb. 6d to 7d.

Store pigs: There was a smalt entry. Recent values were maintained. Weanersi made 6s to 9s 6d. small stores 9s to 12s, medium to large stores 13s to 28s.

WESTFIELD MARKET . (Pei! Press Association.) AUCKLAND, last night. '. At the Westfield. market to-day there was, an average yarding of ox beef, the quality not being up to recent yardings. There" was little or nq change in values, if anything the tendency being to ease somewhat. Cows and heifers came forward in good numbers, and here again quality was not so good. Extra- choice ox sold to 36s iter lOGlbs., choice and prime £1 12s to £1 15s. prime young cow and heifer beef £1 5s to£l Bs, just killablb £1 Is to £1 4s. Sheep.—There was a larger yarding than usual, which sold under good competition at late rates. Heavy prime wethers ' made £1 17s, medium £l 15s. '6d to £1 16s 6d, light and unfinished' £1 lis to £1 Ms; -extra- prime ewes £1 ..15s, heavy, prime £1 lis 6d to £1 14s, lighter prime £1 9s : to £1 lis. other ewes £1 6s to £1 8s 6d. Lambs.-r-Thero was an average yarding, •which sold at late rates. Extra heavy prime lamb made £1 lis 3d, heavy prime £1 8s to £1 10s 6d. medium prime £1 4s 6d to £1 6s, light prime £1 2s to £1 3s 6d.

Calves.---A fair yarding came forward, consisting mostly of plain quality. Runners made to £4 14s; heavy vealers £2 15s to £3 3s, medium £2 5s to £2 10s, light £1 10s to £2, small and fresh dropped 10s to 20s. Pigs were penned in smaller numbers, values being the same as .last week. Choppers made £3; heavy baconers £4 15s, medium £4 8s to £4 12s, light; £4 to £4 7s; heavy porkers £3 15s, medium £2 10s to £3*' 10s, light £1 3s to £1 15s.
