The well-known racehorse Satrap has been the subject of 'rumors lately, and it was reported'and denied, that he had been sold' to an, Australian sportsman fur 3000gns. Now comes the- definite. report that he , has been soldi for _an indefinite sum, " four: figures " being quoted,, and that lis will bo taken: across the'Tasman by Mv B'uggan.. Satrap is a black gelding by Palad'iu,. from Persian Lilac, and has notable performances to his credit, including the New Zealand St. Leger Stakes at the Wellington autumn meeting.
