BRUTAL FRENCH CRIME

There were 14 knife wounds in Mrs. Wilson's neck, breast and back, anyone of which would be fatal. There was no money in the woman's handbag, so that'robbery was not the motive. She had been playing golf and chose to walk.home alone.
When she did not arrive, her husband informed the police, whose dogs eventually found the body in the brushwood.
A man's torn coat, covered with blood, was found near the place where the deaf mute named Vanibrc Avorks.
Vambre, by signs, denies the murder, but he' had been previously charged with assaults on women and he has been detained at an asylum for degenerates.

As an outcome of an important statement obtained from a resident, who says he saw a man running into the bushes at the scene of Mrs.' Wilson's murder, the police are now searching for an Englishman, of whom they have a detailed' description. ::'' It is believed that Vandre has established his innocence and may be released to-day. •; ''
Mr. Wilson was formerly managing director of an iron and steel company in Cumberland. His wife before her marriage lived in Wiltshire, and was a well-known West Cumberland huntswoman
Mrs. Florence Wilson, 50, an Englishwoman, was brutally "murdered in the sand dunes near Le Bourget, where she rented a bungalow. She was strangled and stabbed several times.
