PRISONERS SENTENCED
WHAKATANE BURGLARIES (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Before the Supreme Court, William Charles Chapman, 50, committed from Te Kuiti on a charge of incest, was sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment. Charles Barclay Dewar, 53, committed from Whakatane on a charge of breaking and entering and theft, -was sentenced to two years' hard labor, to bo followed by two years' reformative detention. His youthful accomplice, James William Shaw, pleaded guilty, and Alexander Lawsori Andrew, 60, to receiving £6 knowing it to have been stolen. Both were admitted to probation for two years.
