COBHAM'S FLIGHT NOT A "STUNT"
BEIKA, March (5. A successful luncheon was given at the Savoy Hold to-day in Vouor of Sir Alan Gobham. who emphasised that his flight was not n stunt, but; was infended to prove the commercial possibilities of an African air-boat route. The tour was not a fair example of what future voyages would resemble, ho said, for he' had had to make 40 landings on new waters where nobody knew his wants as to moorings. Future trips would be as easy as the CairoCape land route was, with its established aerodromes and supply depots. He explained that troubles at Malta had. been the chief cause of the delay which had occurred in his schedule. These had been the result of the unsuitability of Malta as a station and of the boa!, having to be towed about the harbor in consequence. In spite, (if heavy rain, Sir Alan intends to leave according to schedule.
