'QUAKES IN BULGARIA SMALL AREA AFFECTED (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) (Received April 16", 3 p.m.) SOFIA, April 15. There were altogether 20 shocks of earthquake. The area affected consisted of 20 kilometres .around Tschirpan, with a total population of 120,000. Fortunately it was a holiday, and the majority' of the people were out of doors when the buildings fell. Tschirpan is now uninhabitable. Every building has been damaged. Patients were miraculously rescued from a collapsed hospital. Throe-quarters of the - buildings in Borisovgrad wero damaged, and several villages were razed to the ground. Soldiers are carrying out rescue work. People are camping in the open. ,
