THE MONTHLY MEETING The monthly meeting of the Gisborne Land Board was held to-day, there being present: Mr. E. 11. Farnie, Commissioner of Crown Lands, in the chair, and Messrs. J. If. Reid, R. H. Wickstead, J. O. Donovan, and A. J. Nolan. The following business was dealt with Land for opening: Sections 3 and 4, block 111, To l’uia township, 2 roods. — Approved, sale by auction, rent £35 per section. Application for consent to transfer: Waikohu, 326 acres, Richard Boyd to Arthur T. Richmond.—Recommended fcfr approval of Minister of Lands. Application for transfer: Lot Bof allotment 140, section 11, town of Opotiki, 2r. 3/10p., C. S. Burgess to W. R. E. Walker.—Recommended for approval of Minister of Lands. Application for transfer: Run No. 54, Tokomaru, 6330 acres, H. P. Bennett and I). V. A. E. Thomson to G. J. White.—Approved. Application for land : Section 2, block IV, Waioeka South, 1654 acres. A Chilcott and Costello Bros.—Former- approved, latter refused. Application for transfer: Section 2, block X. Matakaoa. 1175 acres, F. J. Honey to W. E. Honey.—Recommended for approval of Minister of Lands. Application for consent to transfer: Sections 6 and 7, block 11, Waioeka S.D., Wildish, Fletcher and Gaunt-]etCto William Jas. Hay.—Approved. Proposed forfeiture for non-payment of rent instalment and interest-: Ojhiika set tloment.—-Deferred. Application for extension of O.R.P. license: Section 2. block 11, Ngatnpa S.D., W. E. Shaw. —Recommended, Application to surrender temporary tenancy: Section 2, block NTII, Waiawa, W- Horton. —Accepted. Non-payir.ent of rent: Tnramnranra,— Action deferred.
