His Majesty the King, hns approved of the appointment of bir Robert Hodgson lately His Majesty s Charge d Affaires at Moscow, to bo Minister at Durazzo. —British Official Wireless. For the two service •representatives required on the Public Service Board of Appeal, Messrs. O. N.-Morris, official assignee, Auckland, and A. S. Houston, Ihspector of Offices, Department of Agriculture, Wellington, have been selected as official candidates bv the Public be) - vice Association. For the election, which will lake place on the second Monday in May, section committees were asked to submit names of members who, in their opinion, should be considered in the final selection of candidates hv the executive committee. As (lie result of the ballots taken, Messrs. Morris and Houston came out as the association’s nominees. Mr. Morris, who is a. qualified solicitor, has had years’ service, of which five years were spent as resident commissioner at Niue. (Took Islands, where his duties included those of indole of the Native Land Court and High Court. lie was chairman of the Auckland section last year, and was largely responsible for placing the Auckland section on its present excellent footing. Mr. Houston lias also had 2a years service, and was for many years a member of the Wellington Section Committee. He was formerly a member of the Executive Council, and also Executive Committee, until transferred to Hamilton, where he reorganised .the Waikato branch of the association.
