A NEW ENTENTE
MUSSOLINI’S OBJECTIVE SIGNIFICANT DISCUSSIONS (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.! ROME, April 11. A communique issued announces the results of Signor Mussolini's remarkable series of Eastertide interviews with Foreign Ministers. It declares that amicable arrangements have been reached with Czecho-Slovakia and the Little Entente, while relations with Germany' are excellent. Most elaborate police arrangements were made at Milan to keep secret Mussolini’s conference with Count Bethlen, when discussing a plan for a new Oriental Entente, embracing Italy, Hungary, Turkey, Greece, Albania, Bulgaria, and Poland.
RIVAL TO GENEVA LEAGUE SPECULATIONS (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) GENEVA, April 11. League circles are speculating whether Signor Mussolini, who is the only Foreign Minister in Europe who never attended the League, is trying to create a political centre at Rome to rival Geneva, where the opportunities for meetings . between Foreign Ministers are admittedly one of .the most valuable aspects of the League’s work.
