SYDNEY, April 4. A cable message from London intimates that the accounts of Lever Bros., soap manufacturers, etc., reveal profit for 1927 amounting to £5,390,287. Dividends for the year absorb £5,015,532; to reserves, £227,691 is transferred, and a balance of £101,794 is carried forward. On its business activities during 1926, the company cleared a profit of £4,899,966, on 'which the 1927 amount was an improvement of £490,321. The 1927 net profit lias been exceeded twice in the last five years—in 1924, when the accounts disclosed a gain of £5,418,474. and in 1925, when the sum earned was £5,501,557 net.
