CLUB RAIDED
OVER 50 MEN ARRESTED (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The police last night raided a city club, of which the name is not published, and arrested over 50 men on a charge of gambling. They smashed the door in, and one man who went to see what was happening narrowly escaped injury. The men were taken in batches to the station, which was busy till the small hours of the morning'while the defendants were searched and bail found. They will appear before the court to-day.
