Boiling Oub opened their No. 1 for the .first time this season, and bowlers who are -participating in the Burton cup tournament at Easter will be pleased to it rolled out beautifully, the different games being much enjoyed. The caretaker is to be complimented on his effort#, and there is no doubt that; those who are fortunate, to play at Easter on the rinks provided will b* pleased with them. In thi 'Masonic cup competition yesterday Lane defeated Roderick, this being the latter’s first loss, and the two are no* level -with an equal number of wins. The Ayrahjoif arrived at noon today from Auckland. The screening of the popular* film “The Cradle Snatchers,” which opened at the Palace Theatre last evening, will be continued this evening. The presentation of this comedy special drew a large house last evening.
